For a while we have been putting components in place to form a systematic way to manage the Club. Given the recent request to implement a Safety Management System and your recognition that objective setting was missing from the ‘agenda’ the time has come to formally establish our system to manage safety alongside finance and everything else we need to do.
1. Nominate how you plan to achieve your aims by establishing objectives, typically annually, for each element or topic that we wish to support and achieve.
2. Execute or implement the defined approach and planned activities to achieve the objectives.
3. Submit monthly reports to the Committee to review and monitor progress and review at least annually.
4. Weigh-up what went well and what didn’t, adjust the way you Nominate how to do the activity next time around and share the learnings (e.g., via Committee’s Knowledge Base). In short; take action to adjust anything and improve everything to support the Committee’s achievement of nominated objectives.
This concept shall be applied to all the important topics that are managed by the Committee to set, action, monitor and improve achievement of Objectives.
Policy and procedural Information contained and referenced from and within the COMPASS page forms mandatory rules that 'shall' be Executed, and the use of the word 'shall' highlights this. This separates it from the guideance contained within the Knowledge Base.

The Knowledge Base shall be used to record hints, tips, history, decisions etc., that are easier to find within this system than the Committee's Meeting Minutes.
The Template (via the Website Documents page) shall be used to provide a consistent and easy to read format for all public and member information.
The date prefix yymmdd shall be used for all filenames to identify unique version (dd is optional if unnecessary).
All master (editable) files and any shared variants shall be available to all Committee Members within the Google Drive 'Vault'.
The use of a Critical Vault shall only be used for Critical Information meaning critical for security or critical for the continued safe operation of CMYC. It is the aim to reduce the use of this 'Critical' drive and ultimately only provide access to Directors of the Club.
