Volunteer Recognition

• Someone who has previously received a Lifetime Achievement Award and has now retired from an active role. 

• A significant contribution by someone during the course of their membership who has ceased to be a member. 

• Someone connected to CMYC that has had significant success or made a significant contribution in the wider world of sailing. 

• Note: A recipient is not entitled to vote at General Meetings or to be elected to the committee but may use the facilities of the Club. 

Who decides: Conferred by Committee on an as required basis. 

Reward: 

• Free membership for Life.

Awarded in recognition of a major contribution to the running of the club over a significant number of years.

Who decides: Nominated and decided by Committee on an as required basis.

Reward: 

• Free membership for 5 years.

• Engraved gift to value £75.

• Engraved silver salver – held for one year.

Awarded in recognition of an exceptional contribution to the running of the Club over one, or more, years. 

Reward: 

• Free membership for 1 years.

• Engraved gift to value £50.

Awarded to those that have made a significant contribution over one, or more, years. 

Who decides: Nominated by Committee; Training and Sailing Sub-Committee's and Estate Manager for Tuesday Group volunteers on an as required basis. Decided by Committee.

Reward:

• Engraved glass tumbler.

• £50 Voucher

Significant contribution to the support and management of junior events at home or away.

Who decides: Junior Sub-Committee 

Reward: 

• Trophy held for a year.

• Engraved glass tumbler.

• £50 voucher.

We are also able to make nominations to the RYA National Volunteer Awards Scheme.
