Collecting the previous year's trophies

In order to ensure the trophies are returned in plenty of time for the engraving in January, all trophies should be returned before the end of the current sailing season.

• In the October newsletter, request for the trophies to be returned.

• Review the previous year's list of trophy recipients and email them directly requesting their return.

• Hard deadline for all returns to the club house by the "New Years Pursuit Race".

Agreeing Voluntary recognition

There are a number of awards to recognise the volunteer efforts, the details of which can be found here.

• The recipients of the volunteer awards should be agreed within the December main committee meeting. 

• Following agreement, send congratulatory email. This to include information as to the associated reward. 

Sailing awards

The sailing & racing awards are decided by the Sailing Sub-committee based on participation in club sailing. 

Engraving & glassware

Engraving

Engraving of the trophies has most recently been provided by Ray at Golden Awards in Burgess Hill.

Glassware

Historically the glassware has been provided by Helen Cooper: https://hcooperglassengravers.co.uk/ 

However as of 2024, we have been made of a club member with ties to a local laser engraving company who will be happy to quote this year (for details, check with Martyn Fagg).
